How to Read This Test

Mesembrine

One of the major alkaloids in Sceletium. It is commonly discussed as part of the mood and stress-support profile of the plant, and is often associated with clearer, more uplifted daytime feel in some product profiles.

Mesembrenone

Another key alkaloid measured in the profile. It is often described as contributing to calmer, steadier support characteristics, especially when considered alongside mesembrine and related compounds.

Δ7-Mesembrenone

A closely related alkaloid measured separately. Its value helps complete the chemical fingerprint and is useful when comparing batches for consistency.

Other Alkaloids

Combined amount of additional alkaloids detected outside the primary named compounds.

Total Alkaloids

The sum of measured alkaloids in mg/g. Higher values indicate higher total alkaloid concentration for that sample.

Why the Profile Matters

Sceletium effects are not driven by a single compound. The relative balance between mesembrine, mesembrenone, Δ7-mesembrenone, and minor alkaloids can influence how a batch feels in practice. That is why we focus on both total alkaloid levels and profile consistency, not just one headline number.
